Trip to London

Year 6 were hooked into their WW2 learning experience with a trip to London's Imperial War Museum this week.

They toured the WW2 exhibit before meeting Alan and Kity, two eyewitnesses of WW2. Alan was 9 when war was declared. He stayed in London as his family felt that they didn't want to evacuate their children. His stories were moving. Everyone listened intently.

Next we met Kitty. She was evacuated 3 times to different parts of England. She made us giggle, think and shed a tear with her emotional account of life both in and away from London.

It was a privilege to meet two incredible people who had so much knowledge and experience to share.
