Choose Respect
On Monday we are really excited to be starting our next whole school learning experience, ‘CHOOSE RESPECT’. This learning experience marks Anti-Bullying week and during the week we will be debating a number of key issues that affect children by tackling some BIG QUESTIONS.
Our HOOK into learning will be sharing a Pixar Shorts Film called ‘For the birds’ which raises some thought provoking themes. The END GOAL for this learning experience will be for all the children in year groups 1 – 6 to take part in a debate. In order to do so, the children will learn how to form a persuasive point and present it confidently and effectively. The final debate will be ‘Bullies – punish or help?’ and we will be using the children’s discussions as a starting point for reviewing our Anti-Bullying policy in school in the coming months.
