What an amazing effort went into the children’s costumes - they looked absolutely superb. I’m sure you’ll agree that the staff team did an impressive job too! 

 

 

So, why all the fuss? 

 

Last year we piloted using Times Tables Rockstars at Fishbourne for the first time. The purpose being that, once a conceptual understanding of times tables has been introduced, it is important to develop fluency and speed of recall. We know that as children move through key stage two, being able to recall times tables facts helps with confidence, accuracy and efficiency in mathematical calculations. 

 

Our day on Friday was designed to launch Times Tables Rockstars at Fishbourne and what better way than taking part in a live rock gig?! Our huge thanks go to the amazing team at Chichester College who provided us with some amazing live music and gave one of our super-talented electric guitarists, George, the opportunity to get involved too!
