They are collaborating to plan a unit of learning based on time for children in Year 3- going back to the National Curriculum and linking it to our Progression in Calculation document to plan steps of learning. There is lots of deep thinking going on as Mrs Harris and Mrs Buchan plan for base lining; balancing fluency, reasoning and problem solving; concrete, pictorial and abstract stages of learning; and planning for big questions! They are de-constructing the complex process of planning for learning!

This exemplar will be used to share with staff across the school ahead of staff having the chance to plan a sequence of teaching and learning for their classes in the same way with the support of Mrs Harris and Mrs Buchan. Watch this space for news coming out of classrooms soon!
